| Description | A visit to Kerry Yantian Port Logistics Center and ProLogis Warehouse at Yantian will be jointly organised by HKSTLA and CILTHK on 27 February 2010 for members. The visit aims to facilitate members to have a better understanding of the warehouse management and operation at the 2 companies. Kerry Yantian Port Logistics Center is a member of Kerry Logistics Network. It aims to provide integrated logistics solutions for the entire Southern China Region with “Import Bonded” and “Customs-Approved Export” facilities. Global Logistic Properties (GLP) Park Yantian is developed and managed by Shenzhen GLP-Yantian Port Logistics Park Co., Ltd., which is a joint venture between Global Logistic Properties Group and Shenzhen Yantian Port Group Co., Ltd. The park is to be developed in 3 phases to build Customs Supervisory Warehouses totaling 182,000 square meters. Phase I with 90,000 square meters has put into operation by June 2009. It is a multi-floor building and trucks can direct access to each level. Yantian Port Modern Logistics Centre is the largest logistics center in Mainland China and is developed and managed by Shenzhen Yantian Port Group. The center is to be developed in 2 phases to build boned warehouses totaling 500,000 square meters. Phase I with 260,000 square meters is still under contruction and will begin to operate at the beginning of 2011.
